Getting around

Highway 404 runs north to Woodbine Avenue near Ravenshoe Road, and Yonge Street and Green Lane link to Newmarket. East Gwillimbury GO Station on Green Lane is on the Barrie line, with weekday trains to Union Station taking about an hour. Newmarket GO is also close by.

What is changing

  • New schools in Queensville: Queensville Elementary opened in 2025, and a new Catholic elementary school is planned for September 2027.
  • York Region sewage works: New sewer and pumping station work in East Gwillimbury, scheduled for 2028 to 2030, to support growth.
